The pedestrian/cycle path between Bladon and Long Hanborough is being widened and the vegetation cut right back to make it much, much safer and easier for car-free travel between the two villages, including to the train station. This will encourage active travel and contribute toward the reduction of both air pollution and the number of cars on the road through the village.
Work begins on 4 January and will unfortunately cause some disruption to traffic over the following 12 weeks as workmen and vehicles will inevitably need to be in the road at times in some of the narrower stretches.
*Please note that this work will be going on at the same time as the aforementioned work on the A44 towards Woodstock, near the roundabout at the other end of the village, so please plan your journeys accordingly.
